Scripts Pro is an easy-to-use screen writing application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Using a "TAB" button, you can easily switch between each element of the script. I created this program so that I’d be able to write and edit my cartoon scripts wherever I was. Whether you like writing horror movies, romantic comedies or even sci-fi movies, you can do so wherever inspiration strikes. You don't need to be a pro to use Scripts Pro!
When writing in desktop screenplay programs, you forget about the program all together and are focused entirely on writing your story. The same thing is true with Scripts Pro because there is no cluttered interface or complex solutions to writing. Apple didn’t include a TAB key in the iPhone keyboard so I took it upon myself to create it and include it in Scripts Pro. There’s simply no better way to write a script.
Using Scripts Pro is very simple and there’s virtually nothing you need to learn to use it. While you can do so with this app, it’s highly unlikely that anyone would write an entire screenplay on such a small device. Editing a script is an entirely different story. You can bring your already written screenplays, no matter how many pages, into Scripts Pro and continue working effortlessly. Whether you need to reorder or re-write a scene, change a characters name, or just want to continue writing, you’ll be able to do it.
Previewing your script is an essential for Scripts Pro. After you’ve written your masterpiece you can see an accurate page count as well as what your script will look like when printed out. You’ll know exactly how many pages you’ve written and which scene’s are on each page. A title page is also added to the Preview and will be sent as a separate file when e-mailing your script.
Dialogue can get tedious to write, especially when two characters are talking to each other over a long period of time. Once you type a characters name, it will be added to a pop-up menu and you will never need to type the character’s name again. Having to regularly type “INT.” or “EXT.” is unnecessary. There’s a pop-up menu for locations and transitions as well. Don’t waste your time typing out any of the technical aspects of a screenplay.
To import a script from your computer to your iPhone/iPod Touch, select the “Wifi” icon in the Scripts menu, enter the address into your computers browser, and follow the steps. Currently only .txt files are compatible. To import a script from Final Draft, save the document as a “Text with Layout (*.txt)” from the program. To import a script from Celtix, export the document as a .txt file. To export a script, enter the address in the browser and right click to save the file to your desktop.
Features Included: TAB Key, Transparent Toolbar, Pop-ups, Title Page, Lowercase to Uppercase, Scene Editing and Re-ordering, Hiding Keyboard, Import/Export scripts, Preview Mode, Emailing Scripts and Settings.
Scripts Pro is easy to use and virtually invisible when you’re in the creative zone!
Enjoy using Scripts Pro! Scripts, a lighter version, will be released shortly.
